FAQ
Which session is right for my little Bush Bug?
Both sessions follow the same weekly theme and include the same core activities.
Buglet Buddies (ages 0–2)
Designed for our youngest explorers, this session moves at a slower pace with a strong focus on early skill development, sensory exploration, and gentle engagement alongside a caregiver.
Critter Crew (ages 1–5)
Perfect for sibling groups and mixed ages, this session includes tasks that suit all stages of development. Younger children can join in at their own level, while older children are offered extra challenges to keep them engaged and growing.
Both groups enjoy the same warm, inclusive environment — just tailored to meet the needs of different ages.
What happens in bad weather?
We love embracing whatever nature throws our way, so our sessions usually go ahead rain or shine. The safety and comfort of our Bush Bugs families always comes first though.
We will only cancel if there is a catastrophic fire danger rating or if lightning storms are forecast. If that happens, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
Why a shorter term?
Our terms run one week shorter than the school term with the final week of the school term being set aside for a makeup session.
Can I sign up partway through a term?
Absolutely! If there is still availability in the class you are welcome to join us partway through the term and will only be charged for the remaining weeks of the term. Please email us at info@bushbugs.com.au
Do you offer trial sessions?
Yes, we do offer trial sessions when there’s space available in the class. Please get in touch with us and we’ll work with you to find a suitable time to come along for a trial.
Do you offer make-up sessions?
Yes. Each term is charged for one less week, and the final week is set aside as a make-up week for anyone who missed a session. This system works best for our limited operating days and makes catch ups simple for families.
What do I need to bring?
Weather appropriate clothing for you and your child,
A change of clothes (for you and your child) for wet weather play and water play.
Gumboots in wet weather
Hats & Sunscreen if the UV index is 3 or above,
Please note that we do not have a toilet or changing facilities on site, however there is a portable toilet located very close to the carpark.
